Lucchio (670 meters above sea level) is a country little known but very beautiful and charming, although he has kept intact the original medieval structure. It 'an agglomeration "clinging" to the rock, consisting of tall, narrow houses very close together, surmounted by an ancient fortress which, centuries ago, was a strategic point for the control of the road communication in the valley. E 'surrounded by high mountains, whose vegetation consists mainly of chestnut trees. The birth of the country can be traced back to around the year one thousand, and its history and its people have always been linked to the fortress. In the past, the population was very large, but after the fort lost every aspect of defense, the number of population began to decline more and more, reaching to the present share of about 40 souls. During the summer, however, the country became repopulated by the return of the inhabitants migrated to tourists and holidaymakers.
